Fall In Love With L.L.Bean Signature Summer Collection

May 10, 2010

Growing up a Yankee in New England one knows of L.L. Bean. The history of this original American brand is of a Maine outdoorsman named Leon Leonwood (L.L.) Bean. Bean ingenious invention was the Maine hunting shoe, which he invented in 1911. A year later (1912) he began producing a 3 page flyer selling the hunting shoe and other outdoor goods.  Today LL Bean, is one of the most successful family run businesses in the country. Yes Leon Bean, was one of the first Americans to deal directly with the customers by mail, while he designed for comfort as well as style. L.L. Bean’s selling flyer stated, “We guarantee them to give perfect satisfaction in every way.”  Not much has changed in 100 years later at L.L.Bean they still back their products with the same quality guarantee.

Fast forward to 2010, and L.L. Bean’s Signature Creative Director is Alex Carleton, who was born and raised in New England. Carleton’s interests in early American history, led him to work in antique restoration and interior design, which later led him to a career in merchandising and fashion design. L.L. Bean’s new Signature Line directed by Alex Carleton is rooted in classic American sportswear that is the corner-stone of New England Style. The Signature line has great basics, that work for people who lead versatile town and country lifestyles.  At Beach Finds, we live at the beach and work in the city, so know life can be both.  Which  is why, we are so in love with L.L. Beans Signature Summer collection.  When was the last time you fell  in love?
